“Human beings often claim to understand events when they manage to formulate a coherent story or narrative explaining what factors caused a specific incident to occur. Stories assist the human mind to remember and make decisions based on informative stories. Narrative writing also prompts periods of intense reflection that leads to more writing that is ruminative. Contemplative actions call for us to track the conscious mind at work rendering an accounting of our weaknesses and our strengths, folly and wisdom.”

This is my narrative project page!
Assignment sheet
I have probably written multiple narratives before, but right now none are coming to mind and I definitely do not have any of them saved. My emotional legacy is something that I choose not to discuss here. My third blog post, Composing an Emotional Scene, narrates an encounter I had while I was in grade school. That blog post is probably my first attempt at really trying to create a scene that you could find yourself in. I think it's there is a lot to improve upon from it. I think that my first go at writing a narrative scene needed more emotion to it. I also think that the subject was going to be hard to draw emotion from any way.
My fourth blog post, Composing an Emotional Scene with Dialogue and Symbolism, was much better . . . I think. I think most of the improvement came from separating the dialogue and the description as much as I could because that mixes better with my style of writing. I also think that separating the two also helped me get some more emotion out of it. The thing that I think hurt this scene the most was not alternating between dialogue and description.
In my fifth blog post, My Narrative Project: A Wizard-of-Oz Journey, I discuss what narratives can do in regards to life reflection. I learned a lot about my thoughts when composing my narrative project. With this project I'm going to aim to work on the general structure as well as certain word choices to strengthen the piece. The Well-Being of My Digital Portfolio, which was my 6th blog post, basically went over how I felt about my website halfway through the course, and it went over what I could do to fix some of the stuff I wasn't very happy with.
